Store CAD Planner

SKECHERS USA, INC. a global leader in fashion footwear and a wonderful company to be part of has an opportunity in our Real Estate and Construction Department for a Store CAD Planner in our corporate offices in Manhattan Beach.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

To contribute to the store design team in order to achieve divisional and departmental success in developing store construction plans, fixture drawings and details and merchandising layouts.  Develop efficient cost effective store designs and layouts which incorporate the proper balance of project, merchandising and branding.  Coordinate and manage the process of plan development from design inception to building permit. Knowledge and compliance to approved ?Accessibility Codes? and building codes into the plans and designs. Coordinate field changes and conditions as through the construction process.



REQUIREMENTS:

2+ years experience in store planning is preferred, but not required.The Planner must be experienced in AutoCad 2002 or greater, capable of laying out floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans and power plans.  The Planner must be able to develop fixture drawings, details, color boards and finish schedules.  The Planner must be proficient in Microsoft office, i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Other desired qualifications include the ability to work in Photoshop and Autodesk/ Viz rendering programs.  The ideal candidate should be able to work with minimum supervision and have the ability to manage projects, consult architects, engineers and work with landlords and tenant coordinators.  The position also requires minimal travel of 10% or less, which would include site surveys and as built condition verification.  The Planner should be able to work well with others on team project, but also be able to work independently on individual projects.
