Position Description: A building materials company is searching for a qualified truss designer to join their team! This position requires preparation and layout of complex roof and floor systems, investigates preliminary information and data to develop designs, and calculates strength of materials and other necessary calculations to ensure conformance to all model, state and federal codes.

Position Requirements:

* The following skill-set is required:
* Provide excellent customer service including great interpersonal communications skills.
* Interpret design requirements as indicated by the Engineering Department's procedures and design manuals
* Develop and complete design details from original concepts supplied by design enginees
* Mitek experience preferred
* Ability to use CAD effectively required
* Truss design experience preferred
