Tactical Systems Division - Comm Systems:

Candidate will provide general engineering support to the following: system integration, system installation, conducting site surveys, identifying requirements for radio or other communications and test equipment, as well as the installation of antennas and antenna arrays.  Must be familiar with general drafting, system/subsystem design drawings, schematics, installation plans, checkout procedures, execute pre-deployment activates, conduct system deployment according to defined objectives.  Candidate may be required to travel to deployment locations around the country and work directly with the user to identify additional modifications.  Conduct complete system or sub-system installation, provide support for hardware sell-off as well as in field checkout procedures.  Will be required to develop and present general or technical briefings, after action reports and analysis to engineering working groups and senior management.  Candidate must be capable of using standard MS office products to prepare briefings charts and reports.

Applies engineering concepts and methodologies to technical functions including research, development, analysis, design or production within one or more engineering disciplines. Utilizes engineering and/or scientific skills to identify, solve, or alleviate technical problems.

The following are the Basic Qualifications for the position:



Bachelors degree in a related field and 12 years experience -  Additional experience may be substituted for degree

Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Must understand methods to protect and safeguard personnel, equipment, and operational resources.

Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, prioritize, and solve technical problems/issues in real time and synthesize large amounts of data and information.

Capable of working concurrent tasks with minimal supervision.

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast pace team environment and mentor others.

Ability to handle stressful and quickly changing situations.

Strong interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written communications



Experience in the following areas is an asset:


 


General logistics procedures/processes, supply operations and inventory control.

Understand calibration requirements and equipment repair in a field environment.

Basic electronic trouble-shooting techniques

General knowledge of computer software programs for analyzing and testing of electronic equipment.

Final grade determination will be based on qualifications of selected candidate
