A global manufacturer and marketer of consumer and commercial products is currently recruiting for a qualified Test/Reliability Engineer.

The Test / Reliability Engineer will serve as a key member of the engineering development team, the Reliability-Test Engineer is responsible for assembling prototype natural gas, LP and kerosene space heaters and testing for compliance with established engineering criteria and conformance to agency standards such as UL, CSA, etc. Candidate must be familiar with basic mechanical shop tools and electronic laboratory test instruments. Duties will require maintaining an agency certified lab, monitoring data acquisition equipment, creating written reports using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This position on occasion will require lifting of up to 50 pounds and working in outdoor weather conditions.

REQUIREMENTS
-Two-year technical degree (four-year preferred) plus three years minimum test lab experience.
-Experience in a consumer products industry
-Proven record of assisting in the development and successful launch of new products
-Knowledge of UL and/or CSA agency standards
-Strong written and verbal presentation skills
-Critical thinking and analytical problem solving ability
-Comfortable working in a team environment
-Superior leadership, conflict management/composure
-Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and technically challenging assignments simultaneously
-Planning & organizing; strong process orientation
-Demonstrated experience with statistical software for data analysis.
-Experience in Minitab, Weibull, DOE, Failure Analysis and DAQ Systems a plus.
