The position provides technical support for environmental compliance activities as needed through a shared services concept.
1. Responsible for providing technical and regulatory expertise to maintain environmental compliance through support and program assistance for EO, Surfactants, and Utilities Plants.
2. Responsible for facilitating the sharing of programs, procedures, tools, and successfully demonstrated practices within the EHS Community.
3. Responsible for implementation and operation of EHS standardized processes.
4. Responsible for developing effective working relationships with site management / employees, EHS community, and regulatory agencies where appropriate.
5. Provide input to Hub Environmental Team Leader in identifying and tracking appropriate KPI?s, and assessing site environmental performance.
6. Participate in capital project reviews of assigned units consistent with the level of EHS expertise needed.
7. Maintain environmental records and prepare various reports for assigned units.
8. Assist in preparation of Title V permit modifications and renewals as required.


1. Maintain environmental compliance programs for assigned units while optimizing effectiveness and efficiency of the programs.
2. Provide input to Hub Environmental Team Leader and interface with regulatory agencies and third parties as needed, on compliance and enforcement issues.
3. Assist Hub Environmental Team Leader in developing and tracking appropriate KPI?s.
4. Active participation with EHS Community.

The individual needs to either have detailed knowledge (theory and application) of the specific environmental disciplines, or capability to develop same, for which they oversee. Basic knowledge of the chemical and steam production and wastewater treatment processes is a plus.

1. BS or MS Degree in Engineering or Science is required.
2. Environmental regulatory expertise in at least one environmental discipline is preferred.
3. Two or more years experience in implementing EHS programs such as Title V permit compliance, RCRA, NPDES, or EPCRA in a manufacturing arena is preferred.
4. Customer Focus, Team Leadership and Teamwork, Entrepreneurial Acting/Initiative, Results Orientation skills are essential.
