Art Manager

Cleo Inc has an immediate opening for an Art Manager in its Memphis plant.

 

RESPONSIBILITES:

 

v Determines need for Cleo standard and private label art or Sales aides and catalogs.

 

v Defines and coordinates development of creative concepts on specific line direction to meet schedule and budget.

 

v Researches design and color trends, techniques, competition and the general market.

 

v Provides design and technique application for product or catalog design solutions.

 

v Creates and develops original as well as production art.

 

v Responsible for accuracy and timely release of production art.

 

v Works with the Printing Department to ensure accurate printing of new designs.

 

v Provides motivation and leadership while assisting designers in development of their skills and abilities to meet production schedule. QUALIFICATIONS:

 

v Bachelor?s degree preferred.

 

v Two to four years of demonstrated experience in origination of design and product development.  Experience in the gift-wrap industry preferred but not required.

 

v Computer skills required for production scheduling application, as well as knowledge of the process for production art execution.

 

v Highly creative with strong communication skills.

 

v Ability to work with critical deadlines.

 

v Must demonstrate effective leadership skills and the ability to communicate and direct artists in design creation and art manipulation.

 

v Must be proficient in MS Office 2000, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
