Job Overview:

 

This is an entry level position for National Broadcast negotiations.  The primary responsibility is to learn broadcast functions, develop knowledge of vendor offerings and personnel, develop knowledge of necessary computer functions (both in-house and DDS) and learn to utilize proper broadcast research tools.  Additionally, the function requires development of negotiating skills and an understanding of all assigned client needs.  They will perform their duties under full supervision of the Negotiator and Supervisor.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 Analyze syndicated research to determine which networks/programs best reach the target audience(s)Perform various calculations to determine projected audience delivery/ratingsInput and track client schedules; responsible for weekly season-to-date trackingHandle day-to-day client requests Secure and confirm goods for paid and match inventory Prepare back-up for post-buysConfer with the other members of the media team to meet client marketing goals and objectives Construct buy ?post analysis? to determine actual delivery of the scheduleInput and maintain daily/weekly schedules Handle billing discrepancies with vendors Program content screening  Resolve any billing discrepancies

 

Job Requirements:

 Bachelor?s degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications Although no media buying experience is required an internship with an advertising/media agency is strongly preferredExcellent verbal and written skillsStrong quantitative and analytical skills Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilitiesDetail-orientedAbility to work as part of a teamComputer literate with proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint Excellent work ethic and the ability to work under pressureKnowledge of basic media math
