Associate Director, Brand Development

A MAJOR SPORTS NETWORK CLIENT SEEKS AN ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, BRAND DEVELOPMENT

 Oversees the management of networs marketing staff to achieve specific marketing and brand identification goals for Original Entertainment on-air properties Works closely with senior management within research, programming, production, ad sales and affiliate to define marketing strategies and plansParticipates in and provides direction for the design, development and implementation of marketing programs and branded extensions that achieve defined outcomes and results such as enhanced brand identity and increased market share and viewershipOversees the coordination and development of specific marketing programs for assigned properties by selected advertising agencies and related marketing resourcesAdvises and directs the development of aspects of the creative concepts underlying brand strategy, of some or all marketing strategies and competitive positioning of assigned propertiesFor assigned properties, communicates as required with producers, advertising agencies and marketing resources selected to develop specific advertising campaigns and marketing initiativesCommunicates and cultivates relationships with both internal and external clientsEvaluates and analyzes research and ratings in order to make appropriate decisions on marketing strategies and programs

 

Qualifications:BA/BS degree plus at least 6 to 8 years of marketing / advertising / brand management experience with at least one year of people management experienceIs an experienced manager with good management, organizational, analytical and presentation skillsHas solid marketing expertise and competence in marketing and brand strategy implementationHas a good appreciation of popular culture, e.g., ?what?s cool? and assists with defining the tastes of networks viewsHas a solid understanding of the market positioning and strategies of assigned properties
