Communications Specialist

Currently, we have an exciting career opportunity for a Communications Specialist in our Hatboro, PA office.

Summary - Key participant in the communication process on behalf of Affinity including internal and external communication, client presentations and employee communications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Develops communication pieces for internal and external distribution.
* Responsible for writing Affinity articles, announcements, monthly managers' meeting highlights and various communications as requested. Target audiences include: employees (Affinity and Aon), clients (Association and Sponsors), underwriters and the public
* Responsible for dissemination of branding guidelines throughout Affinity.
* Interacts with Corporate communications team.
* Develops, updates and maintains all Affinity collateral material.
* Responsible for writing, coordinating and editing final copy for proposals.
* Researches various subject matters for communication projects.
* Supports all Affinity communication and ad hoc special requests.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Samples of written communication are required.
* Excellent personal interaction skills - strong networking ability.
* Experienced in coordination and response to Requests for Proposals - Preferred.
* Skilled at editing and fine-tuning colleagues' written communications.
* Ability to create PowerPoint presentations for client meetings and internal communication.
* Detail oriented and focused on project deadlines.
* Experienced in establishing copy and graphic direction for communication projects utilizing internal and external resources.
Must have knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Tools including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Professional.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

BA in Communications, English, Journalism or other liberal arts discipline, or equivalent experience; master's degree is a plus.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of communications including writing experience.
