Content Acquisition Manager

The Content Acquisitions Manager, under direction of the VP of Content Services, will be responsible for all functions related to the planning, execution and communication of local content acquisition activity including daily collaboration with heads of internal global business units, assisting in the development of global content acquisition strategies, seeking out and negotiating licensing agreements with content providers and ensuring that the local content acquisition strategy is executed in an effective and time manner. S/he will interpret data to draw conclusions with regard to implications of business goals and user experience.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
? Develop and grow local content pipelines/networks
? Source new content providers
? Negotiate licensing and acquisition deals to further expand the company's content offerings.
? Develop the local content market, in line with the company's strategic, distribution and advertising initiatives, while keeping a global view
? Ensure that the content strategy is successfully executed
? Manage day to day local content management requirements and issues
? Explore alternative content acquisition activities to reduce cost of content
? Work closely with the Advertising, Distribution, Operations and Client Service Teams
? Manage local resources to meet current and future content acquisition strategies
? Develop understanding of the local markets

Requirements:
? Proven experience in media and content acquisition
? Background in media and internet industries
? Knowledge of the streaming video industry and trends in the marketplace
? Excellent computer skills
? Strong organizational and oral/written communication skills

? Excellent time management skills
