IEC is currently seeking to grow its pool of available contract-based graphic design staff to assist us on various projects nationwide.  We are seeking smart, energetic, driven individuals seeking to apply their well-honed design talent to support learning and development initiatives for Fortune 500 companies and other large organizations as well as our internal web and print marketing material.  Successful applicants are paid for deliverables as outlined in specific Statements of Work.Role FunctionDevelop and optimize graphics, photos, and other images for website, e-learning, and print content.Collaborate with IEC Learning Consultants and Instructional Designers to create user interface and other designs that support learning and communication.Design IEC and client websites.Design, develop and maintain IEC marketing material.Design and develop print-based collateral and media for internal and external clients.Create, maintain and enforce IEC Corporate Identity standards. Develop and consistently apply IEC Web and graphic design standards.Maintain IEC internal graphics library.Act as liaison between IEC and third party vendors/printers.

 Daily Responsibilities

The Graphic Designer manipulates images to create compelling e-learning user interfaces, newsletters, marketing material, and other designs.  He/she partners with Project Managers, Learning Consultants, and Instructional Designers to design user interfaces appropriate for e-learning delivery, as well as graphics, photos, and other images appropriate for e-learning content.  He or she maintains IEC Corporate Identity material, including marketing collateral and Web content, and also partners with other IEC resources to design/develop print and Web content for external client deliverables as well.  When working on print content, he or she may work with third party vendors to ensure deliverables are developed according to specifications at a reasonable cost.Reports to:

As specified in SOW.Minimum Qualifications 

A Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, with a specialization in Graphic Design is required.  At least 2-5 years experience in print or web design is required.  A demonstrated ability to create print or web designs that support learning and behavioral change is required.Knowledge BaseExpert knowledge of Web page layout and design principlesExpert knowledge of print design and productionAdobe Creative Suite products (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, ImageReady, etc.)Able to test for cross-browser/cross-platform compatibilityMac OSWindows OS (95/2000/XP)Microsoft Office
