Designer III - Calvin Klein

Position Summary:



The Designer III cK Women?s Handbags & Accessories Designer is responsible for assisting with overseeing the design of the seasonal collections under the direction of the Design Director ?Shoes and Accessories. In addition to sketches, the Designer III will oversee material and color research, hardware and closure development.

Design Director ? Shoes and Accessories



Other Key Relationships:


Department staff, Product Development and Licensing staff in New York and Asia offices





Primary Responsibilities:


Assisting with oversight of design and development of seasonal collections for ck Women?s for Europe and Asia
Responsible for assisting with conceptual development of line

Researches concepts, materials and color trends

Develops technical specs for all accessories and hardware
Prepares design presentations for review meetings

Travels to trade shows to observe new trends and materials
Ensures timely development of line by adhering to time and action calendar
Communicates technical design information to product development staff

Qualifications


Bachelor?s degree in fashion design
Five years in accessories designer capacity
Excellent time management skills and interpersonal skills
Flexible to meet deadlines, weekend work, long hours
Possess high fashion aesthetics
