Job Description: Disney Consumer Products - Burbank/Toys

Responsibilities:
This position is for the Infant/Preschool/Direct Team. As well as strengths in this general area of toy design and development, this candidate should possess strengths in one or more of the following areas of expertise: Girl's toys, General ?Industrial Design? type product design, and/or Graphics Design.


Managing relationships with license partners.

Giving direction (verbal, written, and visual) to license partners.

Becoming familiar with, and interpreting the Disney source material, and guiding license partners to appropriate executions against it.

Creating alternative design solutions for licenses and license partners as the need presents itself.

Bringing knowledge of toy development (ideation, design execution, manufacturing, safety, marketing, and merchandising implications) to the license partner discussions.

Using this knowledge of toy development in new product development initiatives that Disney may undertake.

Maintaining awareness of the current state of the toy market.

Participating in the creation of new design initiatives against the brands that the team manages.

A minimum of BFA or BA from a design school such as Art Center.
Minimum of 2 years "hands on" design experience

Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Work with a small team, and use their strengths to augment his/her creative work and growth
