Development Director for American Pianists Association

 

DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

 

The American Pianists Association seeks an experienced individual to serve as the Development Director.  He or she will be responsible for the formulation and execution of fund raising plans that includes annual solicitations, sponsorships for artistic and fund raising programs, strategic planning for major gifts and the execution of a capital campaign to raise several million dollars.  The Director of Development will interact with and guide members of the Board, committee members and staff to accomplish fund raising goals.  This person will be capable of efficiently managing multiple tasks, be highly organized and committed to working as a team member with the professional staff. This position will work with and report directly to the president and CEO and will have one support position reporting to him or her.

 

The Development Director?s position requires a resourceful individual with at least a bachelor?s degree, good analytical, planning and communications skills and experience in managing an annual campaign.  This person will be trusted with highly sensitive and confidential information.  The Development Director will need to find and cultivate new sources of revenue on the local and national levels and be expert in developing sponsorship packages and maintaining relationships with established sponsors.
