Digital Image Artist / Graphic Designer /Photographer Assistant

Successful upscale portrait photography studio located in Arlington Texas is seeking a full time digital image artist to add to our team of motivated creative professionals.  This position will work closely with the studio owner to produce portraits and products of the highest quality.  Applicants with experience in Photoshop, graphic design, web site maintenance, InDesign, digital workflow, as well as color management will be considered.

 

Equally as important as experience is a positive attitude, an eagerness to work with the different disciplines and an ability to get along with the variety of personalities that are within the organization.

 

Responsibilities:

? Must be able to expertly retouch and enhance digital images of people using Photoshop CS.

? Must be able to see and adjust color accurately.

? Must have excellent attention to detail.

? Acquiring raw images and preparing them to be shown to clients.

? Giving sales presentations after the portraits have been taken.

? Designing composite images (combining several images into one photograph

? Updating and maintaining our web site.

? Customer service.

? Update price list and marketing materials.

? Create marketing pieces such as post cards, catalogs, etc.

? Assist photographers in studio set up in preparation for sessions.

 

Qualifications1-2 years of work experience with, PhotoShop, InDesign or other publishing software. Excellent organization skills. Attention to detail is a must. Good communication skills. Strong customer service skills. The ability to produce independently in a team environment. Associates Degree or equivalent experience preferred. Digital photography experience helpful.
