Director, International Publicity

Job Description: GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Director will be responsible for overseeing the international publicity initiatives on all Miramax Films. Reporting to the Vice President of International Publicity, the Director will help oversee day-to-day activities, as well as be instrumental in the creation and execution of all strategic publicity initiatives.

GENERAL DUTIES:

Assist creating and executing strategic international publicity campaigns for all Miramax branded films

Manage publicity activities and attend publicity tours, junkets, set visits and film festivals

Work directly with talent, filmmakers and their representatives on all international publicity related issues

Work closely with all Buena Vista International local and regional offices

Assist in the creation and implementation of marketing materials including trailers, TV spots, one-sheets, photography, making-of's and specials, aligning them with the film's overall positioning/message

Manage support agencies in US and abroad, monitoring publicity efforts and initiatives

Liaise with international film festivals, coordinating the shipment of film prints and publicity materials

Work closely with US based International press, servicing materials and providing support for all Miramax Films

Collate publicity reports, track and report screening reactions and reviews from international distributors

Spearhead international award campaigns (HFPA, BAFTA, Intl Academy), working close with domestic publicity

Work with distribution partners, sales companies, and 3rd parties, keeping abreast of publicity activities on all co-productions
