The Position(s):

We have multiple positions open - check us out at www.bobit.com to learn more about the magazines, etc.Managing Editor - 5+ years of experience (F&I magazine - automotive experience a plus)Editorial Assistant(s) - Entry levelWeb Editor - 3 years of experience & VERY web experienced (SSI magazine)

 

Editorial Duties Include:Write and edit features, including possible cover stories and several departments Coordinate with outside contributors for columns and freelance articles Contributions to web site content Edit stories, proofread and participate in story planning Perform photography duties as needed Additional duties/responsibilities as determined by management

The Requirements:

B.A. in Journalism or English preferred Writer/editor experience with B2B publication, magazine and/or newspaper (more experience needed for upper level positions) Evidence of excellent writing and proofing abilities Editorial background or industry experience in electronic security, transportation or automotive industries preferred Experience/ability reviewing/approving editorial bluelines, impositions and feature layouts a plus Web editorial/online newsletter experience/ability Self-motivated; meet production deadlines and schedules while handling multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication skills ? able to professionally interview key industry leaders for editorial content Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Outlook & Excel (PowerPoint & Access are a plus) Experience with Quark XPress and/or Web publishing is a big plus Able to embrace industry to ensure fresh editorial perspectives and address latest trends Digital photography experience a plus Follow internal company policies and procedures Some travel required to industry trade shows No relocation available
