Freelance Copywriter

Lincoln is a leading and diversified for-profit provider of career-oriented post-secondary education. We currently have 37 campuses in 17 states.

 

We are currently seeking to hire a Freelance Copywriter to work in our Corporate Headquarters in West Orange, New Jersey.  The qualified candidate may have the opportunity to work from home if needed.

 

In this position, you can use your background and creativity to write it all!This includes print ads, brochures, direct response, press releases, roadcast tv and radio spots from conception to completion.  The selected individual must have superior writing skills and the ability to adjust your copy for different audiences, channels and formats.You will also have the ability to quickly learn new product information.  Following we have listed the education, experience and requirements that are needed for this position. 

 



? 3-5 years copywriting and proofreading experience

? Ability to write concise, complete, and persuasive service descriptions and advertising copy.

? Understand the difference between features and benefits, and produce compelling, customer-  focused, benefits-driven copy.

? Write targeted copy for a variety of audiences.

? Professional level grammar and spelling skills with a strong attention to detail.

? Ability to handle multiple assignments and work under tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment.

? Ability to work effectively and creatively within a team environment as well as independently.

? Proficient PC skills and a general knowledge of the Internet.

? Knowledge of education space, preferred not required

? Outstanding organizational skills.

? Manage your own time efficiently to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver well-crafted copy on time in a deadline-driven environment.

? Work comfortably with a variety of stakeholders, producing copy across product lines.

? Proactively gather information from diverse stakeholders to solve copy and content problems.

? Be creative while being a stickler for all the details that are so important in professional writing,
including spelling, grammar, consistent word usage, parallel construction, and appropriate use of trademarks.

? BA/BS in Journalism or Marketing preferred

? Solid portfolio
