About 2WT:  Now in it's third year of publication, 2Wheel Tuner is a monthly full color/gloss print magazine dedicated to custom sportbikes.  Covering street riding, road racing, drag racing, freestyle, technical, product reviews, industry news, celebrities, and lifestyle, 2WT has taken the industry by storm with cutting edge editorial and design.  In addition, to supplement the print magazine that is distributed on newsstands internationally, the website www.2wtmag.com offers bonus photos and content in a less formal setting.  The magazine is unlike any other published in the US, and is frequently likened to UK magazines for its style and appeal.  The motto of the title is 'Not your daddy's boring bike mag!' 

 

About the company:  RPM Communications had been publishing magazines since 2002.  RPM is a privately owned company managed hands-on by the owners.  As a small company with 10 employees, each employee has the opportunity (and obligation) to make important decisions and play a significant role in the success of the magazine.  Honest and loyal employees are rewarded and well compensated.  As such, there is no room or tolerance for those that would prefer to get lost amongst the lethargic masses in a large company.  RPM is a fast paced company - we work hard and play hard - we enjoy what we do and have a passion for excellence.

 

Position:  Graphic Designer / Art Director - Full Time, based in Covington, Georgia offices (Atlanta area).  This position is open to mid-level and experienced graphic designers. 

 

Qualified candidates must meet the following criteria:Ability to relate to a 18-35 male demographic CREATIVE Graphic Design or other relevant degree / college education Excellent organizational skills Self-motivated CREATIVE Extensive software skills: Mac, Adobe Creative Suite - PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Ability to communicate and work within a team environment Working knowledge of PDF workflow Ability to achieve goals while meeting deadlines Positive thinking problem solver Freelance or full-time design experience CREATIVE

 

Bonus points awarded for meeting the following criteria in addition to above:Motorcycle endorsement (license) Sportbike owner / track day participant / amateur racer Digital Photography - photo shoot experience

 

Details of the position:

The Graphic Designer / Art Director is responsible for:Working with existing design staff to complete design of magazine on time each month Working with the editorial staff to determine and design feature article themes Coordinating with advertising sales staff for ad design and ad placement Backup and retrieval of articles/text/photos from previous issues Managing advertising artwork database Cover design / brainstorming Creation of in-house promotional materials Design of website and event banners
