 Position Overview

 

The graphics illustrator is a graphics expert skilled in transitioning written drawings or concepts into graphical illustrations, and will be responsible for direct art generation and integration into Oracle proposals under tight deadline constraints.

 Detailed Position Description

 

The graphics illustrator will be responsible for establishing art and graphics guidelines consistent with the solicitation requirements, and will be skilled in tools such as PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Corel Draw, Harvard Graphics, Visio, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, et al.


 

Activities the Graphics Illustrator performs in a proposal scenario:

 

 

?Leads the graphics development process for targeted opportunities

?Works with the account capture manager, proposal manager, technical writers, and section authors to transition their concepts into graphical illustrations

? Provides ideas on ways of how best to graphically present charts, graphs, figures, etc.

?Prepares covers, spines, and internal artwork for the proposal

?Maintains a graphics digital repository

?Coordinates with publishing staff for final formatting and merger of graphics into proposal

?Reviews, edits, final proposal for graphical effects

?Manages outsource augmentation of graphics personnel where needed and approved

 Preferred Qualifications

 

The Graphics Illustrator will have solid exposure to storyboard exercises, and have extensive experience in a proposal intensive environment, preferably in the Federal and State and Local government lines of business.

 

Experience using the following software packages:  PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Corel Draw, Harvard Graphics, Visio, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, et al.

 

The position is located in Reston, Virginia.

 

Undergraduate degree is mandatory, postgraduate degree is preferred.
