Industry Analyst

This is a position with the Cost Guide Group of EquipmentWatch, responsible for the research, gathering and organization of construction equipment market data, maintenance of an equipment database, and general market research. 

 

Primary job responsibilities include Equipment Research and Data collection, Database maintenance; organizing, editing and adding technical data for construction and material handling equipment, and producing revisions to core value and cost guide products.  Will also be responsible for handling client inquiries relating to published information found in EquipmentWatch guides, which often requires special research to compile necessary information, proofing and revising miscellaneous annual products or services such as Serial Number Guides, Equipment Rental Rates, Residual Value Projections, or electronic products, revising specification services and list price services and Ad-hoc projects and special consulting and writing reports, articles and submittals for newsletters.

 

This position requires a minimum of 1 ? 3 years of related job experience.  A Bachelor?s degree, or equivalent education/experience, with some engineering or technical coursework is required.

 

Skills required for this position include strong communication and organizational skills.  Must also be comfortable with general office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.  Familiarity with a database program, a definite plus.  The position requires a high level of independent task planning and creativity along with long range planning for production deadlines; yet the ability to work as part of a team is critical especially as it relates to coordination with other internal groups.  The job calls for a detail-oriented individual, with very strong verbal and written communication skills.
