Opportunity

CPA with 4-6 years of experience including a demonstrated knowledge of SEC issues will provide corporate financial reporting, analysis, and technical guidance to internal/external management and investors for the publicly-held company. Assist in the evaluation, establishment, and implementation of processes, policies, and procedures to improve overall efficiency of the accounting and finance groups. Oversee the development of 4-6 direct reports.

 Financial/Accounting - Delivery of quarterly and annual SEC reports including 10Q and 10K submissions. Monthly review of transactions, supporting documentation, detail general ledger, financial statements, balance sheet analyses, journal entries, and other supporting schedules/calculations prepared by accounting staff. Evaluation and practical interpretation of various FASB, FIN, EITF, and other GAAP literature/pronouncements. Advisor to Management - Analysis/identification/and summarization of accounting issues including preparation of accounting memos and other supporting schedules for review by senior management and auditors. Audit - Main point of contact with auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits of company financial statements. SOX - Ensure all SOX 4014 processes, procedures, and internal controls are implemented; participate in annual SOX 404 audit. Special Projects - Assist in the coordination of special projects related to accounting and reporting systems, as required. Team Management - Provide continued leadership, mentoring, and support to direct reports to create/maintain a positive environment/culture and enhance professional development of staff.  Provide annual feedback/review of direct reports.

 

Executive Skills - Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills; ability to coordinate and perform multiple tasks simultaneously; self-starter able to work within a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment. Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office.
