Master Control Operator / VOD Technician

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides engineering support for the various facilities in Master Control, with a particular emphasis on Video on Demand. Familiarity with UNIX would be helpful. Need to absorb the operation and support requirements of a number of dedicated systems within the Master Control operation. These requirements/systems start with VOD but also include; Commercial Insertion, Automated Program Switching, Robotic Tape Playback, Hotel PPV, MPEG Encoding and Video Editing.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Should have a strong background in Video Engineering and Maintenance coupled with some Computer and IT skills. Knowledge and previous experience with video equipment and the associated hardware. Previous Master Control, production or video equipment experience preferred. PC experience strongly preferred. Flexibility to work irregular hours, all shifts (including overnight), holidays and weekends.
