Job Requirements and Description

 

Two year?s experience using professional video systems such as, Sony SX or Beta systems, Dvcam or equivalent.  Proficient with 35mm and digital still camera systems using interchangeable lenses, location lighting, and studio lighting.  Experience with digital imaging system software programs such as Photoshop.  Experience using audio and video as a documentary or news videographer with production experience in video, audio, lighting, special mounts preferred.  A knowledge of fiber setting up multiple cameras and switchers with audio is desirable.  Must be a U.S. Citizen and must be able to obtain and retain a security clearance.

 

Other Duties:

 

Using standard still and video cameras, commonly available lighting equipment and related techniques, takes photographs that may involve problems of speed, motion, color contrast, or lighting.  Based on clear-cut objectives, determines shutter speeds, lens settings and filters, camera angles, exposure times, and type of film or camera.  Requires familiarity with situations gained from similar past experience to arrange for specific emphasis, balanced lighting, and correction for distortion, etc., as needed.  Consults with team leader or more experienced photographers when problems are anticipated.  Work is primarily outdoors and in varied weather conditions.
