Project Manager

Project Manager Summary A Project Manager within the Delivery Management Group (DM) is a team leader who leads projects and assists an integrated Modem Media project team to ensure accurate on budget on time completion of project deliverables which regularly exceeds client expectations. 

 

 Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

?  Manages online campaigns.  Knowledge of rich media, ad serving technologies, email programs and promotions, and web site development are essential

?   Supports senior team members in developing project plans, budgets, and staffing for work in area of expertise.  Utilizes a working knowledge of Modem's capabilities and processes to integrate planning with Strategy, Creative, Marketing, Delivery Management, and Technology

?  Manages financials of projects including budgeting, time and expense monitoring.  Utilizes knowledge of Modem's Finance Dept's internal requirements

?  Manages client engagements and corresponding deliverables management including the aspects of time, deliverable definition and development, and quality assurance.  Monitors and takes corrective action to stay within time, expense and quality limits

?  Establishes and maintains substantial and influential relationships with client peer working group and supports client interactions at all levels

?  Constructs a balanced team and ensures team members are fully briefed and understand their roles and each other's contribution. Solicits input and feedback on projects and assignments

?  Openly and constructively discusses and seeks to resolve differences of opinions; recognizes different working styles and personalities; maintains objectivity in resolving conflicts.  Constructs compromises where appropriate.  Identifies and helps to correct less than satisfactory working relationships. Seeks, evaluates and acknowledges the input of others through positive, non-threatening actions

?  Effectively leverages learning from prior Modem projects and clients to more effectively and efficiently tackle work on current client assignments

?  Supports agency operations, infrastructure, and development by: following corporate policies and procedures; giving constructive feedback on those policies/procedures; promptly and accurately completing timesheets, T&E's, and agency surveys; attending mandatory information sessions/focus groups regarding important aspects of our business; and treating our physical plant (offices and equipment) with respect

 

Qualifications

Job Experience

Minimum of 4 to 6 years of prior on line advertising agency essential

Consumer Package Goods (CPG) experience a plus

 

Education

Bachelor's degree

 

Skills

?  Able to manage projects or components of complex projects and allocate project resources

?  Experience with assembling and managing budgets including bottom up budgets

?  Able to develop detailed work breakdown structures

?  Experience with risk management, change management, communications management

?  Advanced Microsoft Project ability; Visio or equivalent, and Excel

?  Understands Web technologies (HTML/Java, etc.)
