Reporting Assistant

Description: The copy editor compiles news summaries and calendars and edits, writes and/or rewrites news stories and market analysis under close supervision.

Requirements: The applicant must be able to skillfully edit, write and rewrite copy on extremely tight deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and an excellent command of written and spoken English are a must. Strong headline-writing skills required. We?re seeking candidates with at least a year or two of full-time editing experience on a wire service or daily newspaper. We prefer candidates with a degree in journalism or English. Hours vary and include some holiday work.
