Rich Application Developer

The Web Developer position will support the creation and management of rich media audience participation audience participation applications such as quizzes, polls, surveys and photo galleries. The position will use Flash, Flex, ActionScript, CSS, HTML, XML as well as other tools to develop the applications and user interfaces.

 

The position will specify and implement best practices to ensure applications are reusable tools that allow new products to be created through configuration by web production team. The position will work collaboratively with design, production and technical teams to deliver high-quality applications.

 

The responsibilities of the position include:

 

Technical Execution
Maintain a high level of coding and design standards
Develop initial strategy and potential solutions
Work with project team to develop approved designs and storyboards
Assure quality of deliverables and contribute to quality assurance phase of project testing
Create specifications and documentation for applications

 

Project Support
Actively participate in team environment to ensure timely delivery of all projects
Meet scheduled deadlines
Contribute to team development
Identify and communicate areas of improvement in processes, workflows, technology and products.

 

Communication
Contribute innovative technical solutions effectively
Keep abreast of emerging technologies
Write useful documentation for all tools developed
Provide written status updates

Experience:

  The successful candidate will have excellent Flash and graphic production skills.  The candidate will have been responsible for and had exposure to a wide variety of projects and technologies and be able to develop, maintain and lead multiple projects.
