Senior Graphic Designer/Associate Art Director

Large regional furniture company is currently looking for a Senior Graphic Designer/Associate Art Director for the corporate headquarters, located in Columbus, Ohio.

 

The Senior Graphic Designer/Associate Art Director will be an essential part of the Brand & Marketing teams, working closely with the Creative Director.  The Senior Graphic Designer/Associate Art Director will be responsible for translation of creative into live assets for all the major brands, following the standards and developing and maintaining a clear point of view for the marketing efforts.

 

This position is responsible for developing and implementing brand-building, conceptual creative for retail signage and collateral.  Also responsible for providing overall point of view with regard to in-store graphic design execution, including permanent and promotional signage, direct mail and packaging.  Work within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure successful execution.

 

Essential Functions:Assist with brainstorming and ideationResponsible for development of product brandingCreate original graphics and other visual assetsImplement design parameters, style guides and visual standardsEstablish and produces graphic material for use in advertising and promotion of online and offline services and productsDeveloping concepts, design and art direction for all projects within Corporate MarketingCoordinates with Marketing, Visual, Divisions and MMG merchants on creative solutionsResponsible for distributing work, monitoring schedules and creative budgetsInteract with external vendors as necessaryProduction of final artwork to required specifications for both print and signage fabricationParticipates in production and/or marketing planning group sessions and meetings, on a project basis

 

 

 

 

 

Skills and Business Knowledge:Minimum 5 to 10 years experience in advertising and graphic design with focus on fashion and specialty retail2+ years of management experience preferredPossess strong sense of style in all areas ? fashion as well as homeExperience in directing fashion and still photographyPrior retail experience preferredExcellent verbal and written skills ? both vertical and horizontalProficient Mac platform skills ? Quark, Indesign, PhotoshopStrong  organizational and time management skillsAbility to multi-task in a fast pace dynamic environmentAbility to handle multiple tasks concurrently in a fast pacedCooperative and effective team player with outstanding presentation and communication skillsA portfolio of representative work will be required
