DivX is seeking a highly talented Senior Visual Designer with outstanding visual design skills and a thorough understanding of interface, print and web design principles. The right person will conceptualize, design and develop print, web and Flash-based presentations, and various marketing materials. This position lives in our partner-focused group, known informally as the Ox team. Our motto is ?Get it right the first time? and we prefer our coffee black.


The Everyday View
Lead prototyping of visual treatments, including print layouts and typography
Facilitate and lead design reviews with project stakeholders through storyboards, mockups and visual diagrams
Work closely with Creative Director to determine overall strategic creative direction in interactive and print works
Be a solution-minded designer, NOT just a visual artist
Design current website as well as ongoing site modifications
Design company and product brochures, collateral and corporate papers
Design of partner email marketing and newsletters
Create and update Flash and other interactive presentations
Create and update marketing CDs, CD sleeves, labels, etc.
Design partner marketing materials for packaging, product inserts and stickers
The Kind of Person We're Looking For
Expert proficiency in all areas of visual design, including color theory, composition and layout, perspective and typography design
5-10 years experience as a senior visual design lead for web, desktop and consumer electronics interfaces
Has perspective on current visual design trends, their impact on design and end-user interaction, and their implications for the design
Advanced proficiency in information layout and visual design
Expert proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Excellent grasp of print design and print production techniques
Meets tight deadlines and delivers high-quality work on schedule
A solution-minded and independent thinker with good communication skills
A strong design portfolio with links to examples of work required
Bachelor?s or master?s degree in Visual Arts, Multimedia or Interactive Design required
