RealNetworks is looking for a Speakers Bureau Specialist to join our team.

Responsible for researching, identifying and coordinating external public and internal speaking opportunities for RealNetworks employees to successfully and strategically project corporate messages. Drive creation of messaging documents with internal teams including Corporate Communications and Divisional Marketing Groups to aid in both identifying strategic, leveraged speaking opportunities and providing speaking/messaging points to Real speakers. Develop working relationships with Conference and Association Managers and representatives to negotiate speaker placement details and help shape conference curricula so as to further the goals of RealNetworks.

Research, write and submit proposals and secure speaker participation in keynotes, panels and presentations. Investigate and capitalize where appropriate on press opportunities in conjunction with PR team, includes drafting press releases and media alerts about secured speaking engagements. Act as liaison between conferences and speakers and provide logistical support including submission of speaker and a/v information. Assist speakers in writing abstracts and presentations, developing artwork, using PowerPoint, obtaining multimedia demos, and on-site a/v set-up. Coordinate speaker training sessions as needed. Build and maintain a Speakers Bureau database/library to organize speaking opportunities, speaker data, demos and presentations. Assist Events Team with onsite event logistics and production and overflow event planning.

Candidate will be an independent thinker and can work well by him/herself and within a team environment. Candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive, creative team environment.

 Required Skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Well versed in MS Office and Internet.

Preferred:
Powerpoint expert. Experience writing abstracts, pitches and media alerts.

Education, Certification, and/or Training:
Minimum:
Bachelors Degree.

Preferred:
Bachelors Degree.

Experience:
Minimum:
3 years in a marketing, communications or public relations role.

Preferred:
Relevant experience placing speakers in industry conferences and events.
