Sr. Web Designer

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Web design (defined as follows) of electronic media.

-  Concept development through strong critical thinking, analytical ability
and thorough research

-  Design execution utilizing thorough traditional and computer graphic design skills

-  Efficient production with excellent attention to detail and efficiency

- Project planning with feasibility, efficiency and reliability under
project limitations including budget and time constraints

 

Electronic media design includes but is not limited to the following areas:

 

Design and maintenance of web site content

? Designs banners, Flash elements & HTML pages

? Designs content according to best practice principles for display/use on web

? Optimizes files for download

? Assists Web Design Manager in creating, gathering or formatting information for all corporate web sites hosted and maintained by Superior Communications.

Performs other creative services as required

? Assists in managing electronic files, formats & archives

? Assists in digital image preparation & archiving

? Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor

 

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

? Creation and preparation of required documentation needed to maintain records and files

? Participation in coordinating trade show events

? Designs corporate & custom collateral, POP, packaging, advertising, exhibit or other materials as requested

? Liaison with representatives, clients and vendors

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

? BA Degree in Graphic or Web Design and 2 years graphic or web design experience

or

? AA Degree in Graphic or Web Design and 4 years graphic or web design experience

or

? 6 years graphic or web design experience

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

? Intermediate to expert knowledge of Macromedia DreamWeaver & Flash, Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop

? Intermediate knowledge of HTML and CSS

? Basic photography skills including lighting and focus
