We?re looking for an inspired web designer who can help establish our brand and manage the general creative vision of the company!! This is definitely a production position but we?re looking for someone who can grow into the role of providing creative art direction on most of our marketing initiatives.  We don?t have layers and layers of bureaucracy so your voice counts!

If you?re looking to be an active participant in our in-house creative team and have experience creating websites, web pages, online and offline advertising, including email templates, consumer websites, postcards and print advertisements - this is the opportunity for you!!

 

3 Keys:

1. We?re looking for someone with strong experience designing content & consumer driven websites and who understands the differences between web design and traditional print design.  If you don?t have strong web experience ? no need applying!

2. We?re looking for someone with a positive attitude who enjoys working in a group with a marketing and technical team.

3. We?re looking for someone whose sense of design is versatile and unique.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

? Ensure brand and design standards are met on every project. Define style guidelines for new and current brand look and feel. 

 

? Develop creative direction of all marketing projects.

 

? Design and execute effective emails, postcards, sign up pages and websites.

 

? Design direct mail, email, print and web advertising.

 

? Produce graphics for weekly newsletter and horoscope emails as well as new website features.

 

? Create marketing presentations for company wide communications.

 

? Manage and prioritize production/workflow to ensure on time and high quality delivery of materials.

 

? Select and manage freelance design staff when necessary.

 

 

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

? MUST have a minimum of 3 years of web based design experience 5 years experience of graphic design in a marketing environment.

 

? Broad understanding of information architecture and user interface in designing websites required.

 

? Ability to create designs that are built with the intent of utilizing CSS as the source for future design modifications.

 

? Strong logo/property development skills required.

 

? Strong typography skills required.

 

? Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

? Excellent verbal and written communication skills including, proofing, grammar and spelling.

 

? Strong interpersonal and team skills.

 

Web Requirements:

HTML, CSS, JavaScript.  Any Flash and XML experience is a plus.

 

Software Requirements:

Image: Adobe Photo Shop, Acrobat, Image Ready and Illustrator, QuarkXPress, (or Macromedia Fireworks)
