Theatre Manager

 

One of the premier motion picture exhibition companies in the country has an exciting and challenging career opportunity for a Theatre Manager in the Chicago area. The ideal candidate will have experience in overseeing all aspects of the theatre operations to ensure a positive customer experience.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

? Overseeing all aspects of the theatre operations to ensure a positive customer experience

 

? Specific responsibilities to include but not limited to:

 

1. Marketing-oversee all aspects of in house marketing including, sales, promotions, film promotions, and PR.

2. Scheduling-creating the most advantageous film schedule from week to week that meets the needs of the customers, as well as satisfies the overall business needs of the theatre

3. Personnel-Responsible for hiring, training, evaluating, motivating and scheduling employees.

4. Concessions-suggest products to increase sales, maintain inventory controls, ordering,

stocking, food preparation and sales promotions.

5. Fiduciary-Strive to achieve net operating income targets, identify revenue and profit

  opportunities and implementing plans throughout the year to capitalize on them, overall

  budgetary/profit and loss awareness.

6. Safety- Providing a clean, safe environment for patrons and employees.  Maintain safety

standards of the facility and operations.

7. Cash handling/Accounting- Adhere to company guidelines for cash handling by the 

employees, safeguarding all property and receipts.

8. Community involvement- Creating strong relationships in the community through involvement in civic, public or charitable organizations

  9. Interface with various departments of the corporate structure as needed.

10.    Other projects as appropriate or required.

 



QUALIFICATIONS:

 

 

  -Three years as an assistant manager or two years as a theatre manager

  -High School education (minimum)

  -Must have own transportation

  -Excellent communication skills
