VP Advertising Sales and Custom Publishing

DC Comics seeks a Vice President Advertising Sales and Custom Publishing for the DC Advertising Sales department. Position will develop and implement strategic plans for the sale of advertising space in DC Comics publications and custom publishing projects. Supervise advertising sales team responsible for carrying out the sales plan. Conceive of potential innovative custom publishing projects and pitch to clients. Supervise custom publishing service team in post sale activity. Work with counterparts at other TW companies to identify and develop cross-platform opportunities. Represent DC Comics on TW Global Marketing Solutions. Develop and maintain relationships with potential advertising buyers and custom publishing clients. Other related duties/projects as assigned.

Requirements
BA/BS degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field or equivalent work experience required. Minimum 10+ years previous experience working in an advertising sales or marketing and promotions role required. Minimum 5 years management experience required. Proven track record of developing applicable and effective advertising sales plans and strategies. Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, maturity and excellent judgment. Able to work effectively with senior level executives. Ability to establish a vision and manage and lead a team is crucial. Experience managing and developing a staff of sales professionals. Strong communications skills, both oral and written. Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task. A team orientation is imperative, and the ability to work as a member of cross functional teams is required.
