Web Prodcution/Broadcast Media Assistant

As an assistant to both the Systems Development and Web Production/Broadcast Media Managers of the Internet Marketing team, this position will perform various web site maintenance and administrative tasks, as well as graphic and online multimedia tasks such as filming, editing, and uploading content for the award winning CBOE.com and related sites. 

 

Daily CBOE-TV film productions are conducted in the oftentimes noisy and busy environment of the CBOE trading floor.  Critical deadlines and immediate turn around times are common daily occurrences particularly concerning web site updates.  Day to day web site maintenance tasks must be completed prior to departing work each day, and the position may at times require being on call after normal business hours.  Infrequent, minimal weekend work and minimal travel will also be required.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

▪ Work with various staff in order to perform all daily, weekly, monthly, and annual updates for CBOE.com, CBOE.org, and CFE.CBOE.com.  Create new ASPX web pages using HTML code and JavaScript.  Create and update HTML email templates for promotional email marketing campaigns.  Place/replace site-wide advertising code provided by external advertising agency as needed. 

▪ Perform all administrative maintenance duties for CBOE?s Content Management System including activating/deactivating staff accounts, creating new CMS sections, staff training and technical support.

▪ Assist with various daily CBOE-TV production duties, such as equipment preparation, recording, editing, and uploading audio and video to CBOE-TV server.  Assist with various tasks during the development and maintenance of CBOE online media such as .RSS, and audio/video podcasting, which will include audio/video recording, editing, and uploading in .mp3, .wmp and other file formats. 

▪ Create and modify web site banner advertisements and other graphics to support various internal and external marketing maintenance and campaign initiatives.  Work with print-marketing group to create cohesive CBOE-branded web and print marketing campaigns.  Create and modify web site navigation or other graphics as needed.

Qualifications:

 

Required Skills and Experience:

▪ 1-2

  years or more experience in web production and web-media related fields

▪ Must be able to code in HTML and work with ASPX, ASCX, INC file types.

▪ Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, Macromedia HomeSite or DreamWeaver, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Premier Pro 1.5.

 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

▪Experience in any of the following: JavaScript, Macromedia Flash, Adobe Photoshop CS2, Adobe Encore DVD 1.5, Adobe Audition 1.5, Adobe Image Ready, Adobe Illustrator

▪ Customer service experience.

▪ Options knowledge.

 

Education:

Two years of college preferred or equivalent experience.
