We need a talented individual to fill this position for U-Haul. In this position, you will be the one who performs preventive maintenance in the field; keeps equipment available for use; maintains vehicle functional condition; verifies vehicle serviceability; complies with state vehicle requirements; maintains vehicle appearance; maintains vehicle records; Must accept responiibility for all "down" equipment in his/her area; contains costs; keeps supplies ready; updates job knowledge; accomplishes maintenance and organization mission.




This position requires travel in a service vehicle along a designated route.

QualificationsCapable of heavy lifting (up to 80 pounds). Track record of adhering to scheduling and attendance requirements. Highly productive with minimal guidance or supervision. Experience in any of the following areas is preferred: cooling systems, electrical systems, diesel/gas engines, fuel systems, steering, and suspension. Must have general knowledge and experience with all around repair and diagnostic skills. Maintains a safe work environment. ASE certification preferred. Solves problems by gathering information and evaluating options. Makes effective decisions by analyzing information and considering priorities. Trained in hands-on equipment maintenance. High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
