Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

  This position is located at the Tech Campus in Plymouth, Michigan and will include travel to North America Operations facilities.

Customer Business Unit Alignment by specific project
Primary SDT and BU representative for assigned program
Responsible for completion and execution of AME Deliverables for assigned program
Development and Maintenance of Program Manufacturing Time Line
Maintenance of Manufacturing Issues Lists
Responsible for communicating SDT and Program Changes
Responsible for manufacturing plant involvement and transition coordination
Monthly program status meeting with the Advanced Manufacturing Leadership Team
Monthly/PLUS Manufacturing Report
Responsible to plan and execute equipment re-use and capital reduction initiatives
Responsible for capital planning, tracking, and spending. 
Provide JIT Plant Feedback on Mfg. Standards for Continuous Improvement and Best Practice identification
Leadership of mfg. Feasibility feedback to SDT and Product Engineering Teams
Leadership of Craftsmanship Evaluations and Issue Resolution/Follow-up
Liaison between Program SDT’s, Product Engineering, CoE, and Mfg. Locations
Execution of Manufacturing Standards at JIT locations and incorporation on all programs
Coordination and Follow-up on all DFA/M workshops and issue resolution w/ CoE DFA Engineer

BS in Engineering and/or equivalent (minimum) 3-5 years Manufacturing Experience Automotive Just in Time Manufacturing Experience preferred Excellent computer skills, Auto Cad experience required Direct reporting to the BU AME Manager with functional reporting to the Center of Excellence Ability to travel as required supporting program planning and launching activity.
