Application Engineer
Successful Global Automotive Supplier is in need of an experienced Application Engineer.
Perform as main technical product liaison to the Automotive customer
Pursue all avenues of technical requirements for new product development
Lead the application engineering tasks for the customer platform
Review customer requirements / specifications and initiate / conduct feasibility studies
Prepare the assembly design package for initial review
Lead the technical response (approval) for the change management process
Perform the engineering calculations for product application and make proposals on the product type
Validate and approve the product performance at each stage of development
Manage and support the creation and update of the assembly DFMEA and PFMEA
Lead internal design reviews and the assembly drawing approval
Lead supplier design reviews (DFM and DFA)
Lead prototype and pre-production sample build reviews
Initiate prototype requests
Prepare test specifications and the test development plan (DVP&R) for customer release
Support financial assessments and cost analysis
Requirements include BSME Degree, Strong communication skills, Problem solving, negotiation and computer skills. Knowledge in APQP, TS16949 requirements.
