Auto Parts Store Manager

Title: Store Manager

 

Job Responsibilities: Responsible for the overall performance of store operations at both the retail and wholesale level. Primary activities include: manage & train employees, set schedules, inventory control, cash management, customer service, etc.

 

Specific Job Duties:

 

1.   Trains store employees to all be store managers in the future.

2.   Issues keys and controls all securities.

3.   Settles all complaints internal and external.

4.   Handles collections problems.

5.   Prepares and dispatches all deliveries.

6.   Ensures that all deliveries are made.

7.   Determines who and when is C.O.D.

8.   Maintains up to date catalogs and price sheets.

9.   Keeps track of lost sales.

10.  Prepares displays-posters-promotional materials.

11.  Receives payments on accounts.

12.  Waits on walk in customers.

13.  Takes telephone orders.

14.  Makes sales calls weekly to his/her account base.

15.  Sells related items and improves his/her line items per invoice.

16.  Creates warehouse PO?s and edits them.

17.  Checks and balances cash drawer daily.

18.  Make bank deposits daily.

19.  Controls wages and hours.

20.  Has a daily ?Must Be Done? list.

21. Prepares yearly budget and sets monthly goals for each employee.

22. Keeps employee Attitude-Desire-Skill levels on top at all times.

23. Insures all vehicles are properly maintained.

24. Keeps a neat and professional appearance at all times.

 

Essential Duties of the Job:

 

1. Excellent communications ability and be well organized.

2. PC Knowledge a must.

3. Ability to use a cash register.

4. Ability to work in a fast paced, sometimes stressful environment.

5. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

6. Demonstrate a professional attitude, conduct and appearance.

 

 

 

Educational Requirements:

 

1.  High School diploma or equivalent.

2.  Technical knowledge and experience ? minimum 2 years.

3.  Mathematics ? including arithmetic and algebra.
