Automotive Service Greeter / Appointment Coordinator.

Job Purpose:

Greets guests, Schedules automotive services and repairs by obtaining description of services requested; selling additional services; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; scheduling services; preparing and obtaining approval of service estimates; maintaining customer rapport and records.

Duties:

* Welcomes all incoming Service guests with a professional and uplifting greeting.

* Provides short good natured conversations allowing guests to feel at ease.

* Understands customer automobile service request by listening to customer's description of services required; clarifying description of services required; checking vehicle service records;

* Sells additional automotive services by suggesting services that could be provided at the same time.

* Verifies automobile warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions.

* Presents estimated automotive service fees by costing materials, supplies, and labor.

* Prepares automotive service orders by entering services required into service management database; examining automotive technician work schedules; scheduling and coordinating services; informing customer of date and time of service appointment; obtaining customer's approval of service estimates.

* Maintains customer rapport by reminding customers of scheduled service appointments; following-up on "no-shows;" explaining service estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; resolving problems; arranging temporary transportation; planning future services; contacting customers to remind them of service plans.

* Maintains automotive service records by recording services rendered and problems encountered; scheduling anticipated services.

* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

* Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
