Job Purpose:

Maintains service operations by inspecting and maintaining company fleet vehicles.



Duties:Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance such as, oil changes, replacing filters, transmission servicing, repairing heating and cooling systems.
 Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints from either direct conversation or DVIR reports (daily vehicle inspection report); conducting inspections; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components.
Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by performing safety inspections by set standards.
Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs in a paperless shop computer system;
Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance.

 Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options, watching previously replaced parts for warranty; documenting all such warranties.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities when provided by the company; reading technical publications for company equipment.
Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed in a safe and timely manner.  SAFETY FIRST
