Car Technical Advisor

CITY: Eden Prairie STATE: Minnesota COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Job Purpose
Answer questions, resolve issues and approve processing of over-the-road equipment maintenance on cars in a professional inbound customer service call center environment.

Essential Functions

Interact with suppliers (dealerships, national accounts, and independent garages) nationwide, utilizing mechanical experience and expertise to leverage and negotiate maintenance and repair cost savings and warranties for Fleet customers

Assist and direct customers and drivers to National Account vendors when possible for established pricing and national warranties or to dealerships for manufacturer warranty opportunities

Validate customer parameters, vehicle repair history, National Account pricing and/or published regional pricing guidelines and potential warranty savings

Facilitate options to assist customers in selecting the best choice for needed repairs

Document vehicle breakdowns from start to finish while expediting the process to get vehicles up and running in a timely manner

Accurately document all driver, supplier, fleet manager, and vendor calls

Utilize all available online resources to access information processes, pricing guidelines and assistance for drivers

Meet or exceed quality and productivity expectations of the department

Process manual invoices


Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications

Associates degree in automotive-related field, or a minimum of 1 year of experience as service writer, technician, parts associate or related position, or hands-on auto maintenance experience either in a work or home shop.

Able to work a varying schedule in a 24 X 7 X 365 inbound call center, to include holidays and weekends

Eligibility Requirements

You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
