Controls ? Service Technician

 

A dynamic Machine Controls Designer / Service Technician is required for a permanent position with a proprietary resistance welding equipment company located in northeast metropolitan Detroit.  The successful candidate will have an Associate Degree in Electronics, Automation Controls, or related field, and at least two years of practical experience troubleshooting/designing industrial machine controls.  Robot interfacing and industrial network communications knowledge is a plus.  Some travel will be required.

 

Functions & Responsibilities:

? Must be able to read, understand, and modify electrical prints and specifications if the project requires.

? Install and support production resistance welding equipment.

? Install, troubleshoot common controls. (Including PLC, weld control, robotic systems)

? Modify existing control systems as required for operational changes.

? Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code, OSHA and ANSI standards.

?   Build, troubleshoot, and repair electrical panels utilizing relay and programmable logic circuitry.

? Maintain technical documentation including machine histories, preventive maintenance check sheets, and logbooks.
