Customer Quality Engineer

In addition to automatic shifters, GHSP designs and manufacturers manual shifters, decorative shifter components (such as bezels and knobs), pedals and electronic controls for various automotive applications.

To support our DCX business, we are seeking a Customer Quality Engineer for our Hart, MI location who excels at the following:

 

?  Guiding people and processes as customer liaison, ensuring that products meet quality expectations.

?  Ensuring that layout, control plans, inspection standards and all relevant project materials are organized, current and available to GHSP users.

?  Reviewing PFMEA?s and product designs, translating them into Control Plans.

?  Facilitating the design, build and certification of gauges.

?  Managing internal and supplier PPAP?s

?  Managing customer PPAP submissions

?  Supporting component suppliers in preparation for production

 

You could be right for this job if you have a Bachelor?s degree in Engineering or related field, minimum of 3 years of Quality experience in a lean manufacturing environment and DCX experience.  In addition, highly developed skills in problem solving, APQP, PFMEA, SPC and metrology, blueprints (drawings), control plans, and strong written and verbal communication skills are also required.  Quality assurance systems and practical experience in a multi-disciplined team environment is highly recommended.
