Summary:

The Customer Supervisor is responsible for all day-to-day responsibilities of the Customer Service Department to ensure customers receive professional and courteous replies to inquiries and complaints regarding the product and service they receive.  Delegate tasks to various team members, cross train all staff, and resolve personnel issues as they arise.  Working knowledge of each activity within the department in order to facilitate the daily work and meet customer deadlines and expectations of service. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Plans and schedules the efficient use of team, resources, and equipment to accomplish the daily requirements of the shift.Continuously monitors associates performance to meet all objectives on a daily basis.  Supervise the output of the department to ensure customer requirements are met.Ensures Department is adhering to all ISO procedures and departmental processes are followed.  Recommend changes to processes as they occur and suggest improvements.Communicate problems/issues to Supervisor that may affect department?s ability to meet both internal and external customer requirements.Recommend improvements to departments to processes and operations.Conducts daily start up meeting with departmental team in absence of Supervisor.Assist with training for newly hired associates.  Recommendation for disciplinary action and associate recognition as necessary.  Promotes a positive work environment to achieve the highest level of quality and productivity.Participates in daily planning meetings.  Provides information such as progress towards goals, problems, issues, and recognition.Other duties as assigned by management  

 

Job Requirements:

 

Must possess a minimum high school education or GED; Associates Degree in business or logistics preferred; Bachelors Degree is desirable; will consider a combination of education and applicable work experience.  Minimum of two (2) or more year?s Supervisory related experience.  Must possess a working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook and Access).  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Some analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports and correspondence, find solutions to various problems and to prioritize work.  Attention to detail and meet deadlines.  Effective planning, assessing and executing abilities.  Background is ISO and Kaizen a plus.  Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate written or verbal instructions, policies, and procedures.  Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.  Ability to work with various departments in a professional and personable manner.
