District Service Representative - Western U.S.A.

Komatsu Forklift USA, Inc., a recognized leader in the manufacture and sales of forklifts, has an immediate home office opening for a District Service Representative for our Western U.S.A. region. This position reports directly to the National Service Manager, who is based in Covington GA.



A. GENERAL SUMMARY

Serves as liaison between the Company and dealers with regards to Product Support issues. Regularly visits dealer offices to provide parts, technical, warranty, customer service, and other assistance as needed. Provides guidance, problem investigation and resolution, and follow-up with corporate management regarding competitive parts & pricing structures. Ensures that dealership parts and service operations are organized and equipped to provide efficient service. Works cooperatively with District Sales Manager for region to provide support to our company and its dealer body.



B. ACCOUNTABILITIESCommunicates effectively with management, dealer body, associates, and our suppliers in the interest of customer satisfaction to maximize Company?s market share and sales goals.Acts in a manner, whether on or off the job, to strengthen the reputation of the company and its objectives.Interfaces with dealer personnel to identify areas of weakness and propagate strategies to realize established targets and goals.Acts in interest of customer and Company in administration of warranty and goodwill policies.Establishes procedures to improve dealers? part/service efficiencies, quality, and profitability.Provides orientation training for new dealers on policies and procedures.Assists in implementing new and existing policies and programs initiated by the Company.Promotes dealer and customer product satisfaction.Provides technical assistance to dealers; provides follow-up of all retrofit & recall programs.Ensures dealer compliance to service procedures and shop/field requirmnts for efficient servicing of products.Works with dealers to ensure use of genuine Company parts.Maintains market competitive parts pricing structure; improves off-shelf fill rate through proper stock order techniques and use of annual return policy.Trains dealer on proper use of parts books to reduce order errors and maximize customer satisfaction.Assists sales personnel in their effort to realize stated sales goals.Serves as parts/service consultant to dealer principals, general managers, and parts/service managers; supports realization of parts and service sales objectives.Serves as catalyst between the Company's training department and dealerships to enhance technical knowledge and skills of dealer personnel.Ensures that dealership parts and service operations are properly organized, staffed, and equipped to provide efficient service, which will produce adequate dealer profit and owner satisfaction.Performs other job tasks as assigned by management.



C. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor?s degree in engineering or business preferred; however, related work experience in may be considered in lieu of degreeMinimum 5 years? experience in sales, customer service, or field service in forklift (or related) industryStrong verbal/written presentation and negotiation skillsAbility to conduct self professionally at all timesWillingness to travel frequently (generally every other week)PC literacy required with a strong working knowledge in Windows and MS Office SuiteTechnical knowledge of service and repair of forklift trucksAbility to perform job duties without close supervision.
