Engine Electronics Engineers Needed . . .

Spherion, a national recruiting firm, is currently searching for Engine Electronics Engineer candidates for all levels, interested in working in the Chicago land area.  We are looking for candidates who have gathered, generated and coordinated system level requirements for a vehicle electrical system and documented those requirements in a defined structure.Vehicle electrical systems interact with virtually every other system on the vehicle.  Ideal candidates have experience with OBD II, power distribution systems, J1939/Can protocol, embedded microcontroller electonics, electronic engine controls & systems, diagnostic software requirements and can lead department projects and programs.Other key skills would be performing design trade-off analysis for electrical systems and subsystems, developing and/or validating powertrain electonic control systems and modules. 

 

Primary Duties:
Supporting engine development and testing in the lab and field
Supporting customer requests
Representing Engine Electronics in cross functional teams
Defining and specifying software component and system requirements
Creating design verification plans and formally presenting the results
Facilitating review and analysis of control system FMEA's
Supporting development of future Engine Electronics program plans

 

Musts:
BSEE/BSET/BSCS
2 years minimum electronics experience
Up to 20% Travel
Control system experience in the specification, design, development and qualification of diesel engine control, vehicle and diagnostic specific software
Project management or process management experience
