Engineering Manager - Plastic Injection Molding - Automotive Supplier

Summit Polymers has a great opportunity in SW Michigan to become a part of a high performance, Best-In-Class Company.  Summit is a multi-plant, automotive supplier of injection molded interior trim; specializing in the engineering, manufacture and assembly of feature based A/C registers and trim panels.

 

Summit is looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager with extensive experience in ?Class A surface? plastic injection molding process, accustomed to meeting the stringent quality demands of the automotive industry.  This experienced professional will need significant injection molding tooling experience and be able to manage and lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers at the plant level from product development through process capability.  Candidate must be dedicated to such lean manufacturing systems as Kanban, JIT, Heijunka, and Poke Yoke.  Position will be responsible for overseeing primary and secondary tooling build and assuring that job is running to BOM.  The successful candidate will have the leadership skills, experience and in-depth knowledge to insure that Summit?s procedures and policies are effectively practiced and documented.  Summit continues to lead the industry and remain globally competitive with Knowledge Based Product Development initiatives
