Experienced Service Manager

Service Manager (SPM) is responsible for the effective operations of all Service Department activities within the dealership. He/she is accountable for the financial performance, coordinated marketing, customer relations, staffing, and overall coordination of the Service Department. The Service Manager will collect and analyze data providing feedback and recommendations for improvement. The Service Manager must be an investment advisor and profit producer. Strong communication is required between the Parts Manager, Technicians, Service Advisors, Cashiers and Vehicle Coordinators.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis of performance within the Service operations
o Develop and follow-up on individual business unit action plans to achieve the desired outcome
o Champion National and District initiatives within the store (Assessment, Training, Certification, WO count, Customer pay, and CSI
o Provide feedback to the General Manager, and the District staff based on the contacts
o Involvement in collective marketing efforts.
o Develop succession plan within the store for continuous Service operations
o Oversight of the collective recruiting, selection, and staffing effort
o Evaluate and coordinate Service training initiatives.
o Participate in the annual budget preparation and validate its premise with quantifiable data and initiatives
o Compliance and reporting of any activity that would expose the store to avoidable risk
o Effective leadership of assigned staff
o Coordinate external resources
o Share "Best Demonstrated Practices" Required ExperienceIdeal candidates will have:

o Basic understanding of vehicle systems
o Basic understanding of computer keyboard operations
o Valid drivers license Required Educationo High School Diploma or equivalent
o 2 year or 4 year Business Degree or related field preferred
o Successful completion of AutoNation Service Advisor Training Programs during first 90 days of employment.
