Field Material Damage Auto Appraiser

THI Holdings, a non standard insurance division of Nationwide Insurance carrying the Titan Auto and Victoria Insurance Line has an immediate opening for a Field Material Damage Auto Appraiser.  This position will be home based with responsibility for the greater Indianapolis, Indiana territory.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Inspects damaged vehicles or reviews collision repair facility estimates, and prepares itemized damage appraisals outlining cost of parts, materials and labor necessary to repair vehicles to acceptable industry quality standards. Determine if damages are sufficient to declare the vehicle a total loss.  Work within specified claims limits and authority. 

 

Successful candidate will possess 1-3  years of appraising/negotiating property and accident damaged auto related claims, Microsoft Windows/Office and Lotus Notes skills, and is familiar with utilizing Internet-centric appraisal software such as ADP and CCC Pathways. You must also possess superior customer service skills and have the ability to work remotely and independently.  Knowledge of property/casualty insurance industry policies or related experience in the auto repair or body shop field is a must.
